Audit services in Kyiv and across Ukraine
MK Audit has operated as an audit firm since 2000. We perform statutory audits of financial statements, voluntary audits commissioned by owners, tax audits, IFRS audits and pre-acquisition reviews. The auditor’s report is issued in English and Ukrainian, so banks, foreign shareholders and group auditors accept it without further questions.

An audit is an independent assessment of whether your financial statements are reliable. It can be required by law or commissioned voluntarily by an owner, a bank or a buyer of the business. Fieldwork takes two to four weeks once the documents are with us.
The audit services we provide
For large and medium enterprises, joint stock companies and public interest entities. The report is published with the statements.
Company audit
A voluntary audit commissioned by the owner, the director or a bank. The scope can be narrowed to particular areas.
Tax audit
A review of tax accounting and exposure before the tax authority arrives: corporate income tax, VAT and payroll taxes.
IFRS audit
For entities required to apply international standards or preparing a reporting package for a parent company.
Pre-acquisition audit
A review of the company you are buying: real assets, hidden liabilities and tax exposure.
HR and payroll audit
A review of employment records and payroll calculations before a labour inspection.
ISRE 2400 review
Limited assurance instead of a full audit: faster and less expensive where that is sufficient.
Grant and donor project audit
A standing practice area: ISA 800, ISA 805, ISAE 3000 and expenditure verification under ISRS 4400.
Inventory count observation
Independent attendance at the annual count, required to support closing balances.
Who commissions an audit
Entities required to be audited
Large and medium enterprises, public joint stock companies, public interest entities, extractive industries and financial institutions. You can check the criteria in statutory audit criteria, and we will do it free of charge from two years of your statements.
Borrowers and lessees
The lender asks for assured statements before a loan or during monitoring. A review is often enough instead of a full audit, and it costs less.
When the accountant or director changes
Before the handover the owner wants to know the real state of the books. This is the most common reason for a voluntary audit, and it usually pays for itself in the errors found.
Buyers and sellers of a business
The buyer checks what is being bought. The seller prepares the statements so that there is nothing to argue about and the price does not fall in negotiation.
Four steps with no surprises at the end
We review two years of your statements and tell you whether the audit is mandatory and from which year. Free and without obligation.
A document list by accounting area. Secure exchange, with the audit performed remotely anywhere in Ukraine.
We raise questions immediately rather than at the end, so you can correct the books before the report is signed instead of receiving a modified opinion.
The auditor’s report in English and Ukrainian, a management letter, help with publication and answers to your bank or shareholder.
What sets our audit firm apart
The firm has operated since 2000. The team stays the same for years, so each year the client deals with the same people, who remember their accounts.
We belong to DFK International, present in more than 90 countries. Reports in English are accepted by foreign shareholders and group auditors without extra questions.
Ukrainian audit register No. 4624, company code 39419346. The data is public, so you can check us before signing.
What clients ask most often
How much do audit services cost in Ukraine?
The fee depends on transaction volume, the number of accounting areas, group structure and the deadline. We send a proposal after reviewing the assignment, usually within one working day, and can give a preliminary estimate after a short call.
How do we know whether the audit is mandatory?
Three indicators have to be tested for two consecutive years: balance sheet total, net revenue and average headcount. Send two years of statements and we will tell you free of charge whether an audit is required and from which year.
How long does an audit take?
Normally two to four weeks after we receive the complete document set. We recommend starting at least six weeks before the publication deadline so there is time to correct the books.
Can the audit be performed remotely?
Yes. Most engagements run through secure document exchange. A visit is needed to observe the inventory count and, in some cases, at the shareholder’s request.
Do you issue the report in English?
Yes, in English and Ukrainian in one package, with no separate charge for translation.
We are outside Kyiv. Do you work across Ukraine?
Yes. The office is in Kyiv, but document flow and communication are remote, so the client’s location has little effect on timing or fee.
