Financial management of grant projects
The programme runs over 3-4 days online and covers the full financial cycle of a grant project. Participants work on the proposal budget, budget monitoring, currency operations, sub-grants, cash-flow planning and the financial report to the donor. It is led by MK Audit auditors and accountants.

3-4 days online in Zoom, with exercises on participants’ budgets and reports
Programme
- The proposal budget: lines, justification, link to the work plan
- Budget monitoring: tracking variances and reallocating within what the grant agreement allows
- Currency operations: tranches, conversion, exchange differences
- Sub-grants: selecting partners, the agreement, monitoring and sub-grantee reporting
- Cash gaps between tranches: cash-flow planning
- The financial report to the donor and its reconciliation with the books
- Review of participants’ budgets and reports
After the training you will be able to
- build a proposal budget with a justification for every line
- monitor budget execution and agree reallocations with the donor in time
- plan cash flow between tranches and show exchange differences in the report
- set up monitoring of sub-grantees and collection of their reports
